Dana Leigh Langford, aka “the Barefoot Artist,” is a native Tennessean. She is a Southern Folk Artist, Muralist, Jewelry Designer, Painter, Mixed Media Artist and Workshop Instructor. By trade, Dana is a design artist and has worked in the Nashville home furnishings industry for several years. Dana is a certified Activity Director ADC recognized by the NCCAP. She is certified in CPR and is current on her trade skills. Her work can be seen in public venues, exhibits and on television. Much of her artwork is collected privately and on display at venues around the state.
As a working art instructor, Dana teaches weekly tutorials and also gives private instruction. She has written curriculum for Lighthouse Christian Schools, Elementary, Middle and High School levels. Dana works in Davidson, Williamson and Sumner counties, conducting after school art programs customized for subject, demographic and skill levels. Dana has worked with enhancement and anchor partners with the YMCA artEmbrace programs, NAZA, RISE, NICE, Girls Inc., Moves and Grooves, ART CAMP, Big Brothers and BIG Sisters, Martha O Brien, and the Nashville Public Library.
